Wolves
in KMYS!!!
'Tis is a sad sad occasion. Yet again, KMYS' history of
petty thefts seems to repeat itself. There was a round of
stealing which occurred last semester which saw valuables
such as money and mobile phones nicked from the supposedly
safe haven of the KMYS compound. After the holidays, complaints
of stolen (believe it or not!) shampoo and slippers were
common. It seems that the thief or thieves are not particularly
acting out of greed but sheer maliciousness. Now, apparently
the thief or thieves are back and this time, they want your
money and mobile phones.
The victims of this outrageousness cannot really be blamed
for the lost of their possessions after all. The valuables
were kept in the drawers of their rooms. Their rooms were
thoroughly ransacked and searched. Isn't this a scary thought?
What you thought was the safest place to keep your stuff is
now open for taking. Are our possessions not safe anymore?
Do we need to go beyond locking our rooms and chalets to keeping
a ferocious guard dog to safeguard our belongings?
Now, the infamous question in any crime
"Whodunnit?"
Well, certainly not the butler! But rest assured (if this
is any assurance at all!), gentle folk of KMYS, that the culprit
is among us. No, it was not a stranger from KL or Tanjung
Malim who sneaked into the college at the dead of the night
to whisk away what is ours. The person who did it, is someone
we trust and probably someone close to us. He or she lives
with us, eats with us and works together with us in class.
He or she smiles and jokes with us, comforts us when we are
unhappy and at the same time, eyes our wallets and purses
as well as our mobile phones. You would never suspect or even
think that he or she did it, because of the seemingly naive
way we trust our supposedly close-knit family here. Certainly,
our trust is not justified.
It is sad that such a thing is happening here, among the top
scholars of Malaysia, the children of wonderful homes and
a cultured society. But as reality is sometimes hard to choke
down, there is no denying this. A word of advice to KMYSians:
Beware the wolf in sheepskin. Be wary of whom you place your
trust. And as for the wolf, watch out, as your time is almost
up.

So many blessings to count,
But sorrow triumphs once more,
Tears flow when no one knows,
Muffled sobs no one notices,
But relief nowhere in sight.
Sweet,
cheerful on the surface,
Just beneath
empty.
Best
friends left behind,
Heart choked with loneliness,
Clinging; a burden
To the one pillar of support.
Words
of advice uttered,
Comforting
for the moment.
I
used to be somebody,
Everyone knew, everyone turn to,
Now just one in the shadows,
My own fault, true.
Is
this how life will be?
Will time bring more change?
Change for the better?
But
true friendship is formed slowly,
Drop by drop,
'Til the heart runs over.
Another Droplet
